How we work

Our approach is simple: turn up when we say, charge what we quoted, and deal with people’s waste the right way.

Every job is done by our own team, not passed on to subcontractors. We carry everything out, load the van, sweep up and take your waste to licensed facilities where it’s sorted for reuse and recycling.

Environmental & duty of care

Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, everyone who produces waste - households included - has a duty of care to make sure it goes to someone authorised to take it. Here’s how we make that easy:

• Registered waste carrier: Upper tier registration CBDU646050. You can check it on the Environment Agency’s public register.
• Licensed scrap metal collector: Scrap metal collector's licence 26/000141/SMDC, issued by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. We never pay cash for scrap.
• Waste transfer notes: provided with every collection, recording what we took and where it went.
• Recycling first: we aim to reuse or recycle over 90% of everything we collect.
• Reuse: good-quality furniture and household items go to local charities and reuse projects.
• Specialist streams: fridges, electricals and upholstered furniture containing POPs go to authorised treatment facilities.

We never fly-tip. If anyone offers to take your rubbish very cheaply and can’t show you a waste carrier registration, it’s worth asking where it’s going.
