How we collect, use and protect your personal information. Last updated 3 October 2026.

Who we are

Janet Larway-Carter (trading as Jansco Recycling & Waste, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our services. Registered address available on request by email. You can contact us about your data at info@jansco.co.uk.

We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Booking details: your name, contact number, email address, collection address and postcode, roughly when you’d like the collection and any times to avoid, and notes about the waste and access.
  • Photos you choose to upload with a booking or quote request.
  • Enquiries you send through our contact form or by email, including the subject you choose.
  • Job records: quotes, invoices, payments and waste transfer notes.
  • Website data: your cookie choices and, only if you allow analytics cookies, anonymised usage information from Google Analytics. Our web server also keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only where needed with:

Some providers, such as Google, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

Your rights

You have the right to: access a copy of your data; have it corrected; have it deleted (where we don’t need to keep it by law); restrict or object to how we use it; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@jansco.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month.
