Cookie policy
What cookies we use and how to control them. Last updated 3 October 2026.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential to make a site work. Others help the owner understand how the site is used. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we only set non-essential cookies if you agree.
Cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
jansco_sid | Necessary | Keeps the booking and contact forms secure (stops forged submissions) and remembers your booking reference on the thank-you page. Only set when you open a form. | When you close your browser |
jansco_consent | Necessary | Remembers your cookie choices so we don’t ask on every page. A copy is also kept in your browser’s local storage. | 6 months |
_ga | Analytics | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors so we can count visits. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Analytics | Google Analytics: keeps track of your session. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. | 2 years |
We don’t currently set any marketing cookies. If we add advertising tools in future they will only run if you turn on “Marketing” in cookie settings, and we’ll list them here.
We use Google Consent Mode: until you accept, Google tags are told not to store analytics or advertising cookies.
Changing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the booking form from working.
Third-party links
Links to Facebook and other sites are governed by those companies’ own cookie policies. Nothing from them loads on jansco.co.uk until you click the link.
